Welcome to Eric Ruth Games

A personal message from Eric Ruth-

Since the first time I saw Mario and Luigi jump the treacherous pits of the Mushroom Kingdom when I was 7, I knew that the interactive arts of the video game profession would one day be within my grasp.  I spent my childhood drawing pictures of Mega Man, Samus, Link, and Guile as I dreamed of a future littered with award winning game titles.  By the age of 14, I took my first steps into the world of programming with my TI-92 calculator.  Among its limited memory and basic programming, I managed the creation of my own Legend of Zelda game, an original Ghostbusters game and a WWF Wrestlemania arcade game clone.  While these games were slow and ultimately uninteresting, I used the experience later in life when I began using GML to create far superior titles to those black and white classics.

These days, I have a handful of completed video game titles that I created from scratch using the tools and experience I gained over the years.  Since I didn't have the money for college, I had to teach myself everything about game design, inlcuding the usage of Photoshop, Reason, and GML.  So, with my determination and self motivation, I find myself on the edge of my future, knowing that my love of video games and video game design will one day bring me a sustaining career with a respectable company.

In closing, there is nothing I want to do with my life that doesn't involve game design.  I have worked very hard and will continue that hard work until a game company gives me the chance I believe I deserve.  Thanks to everyone who has helped me along my path to become the next great video game developer.  I promise I won't give up and I'll never let you down.
